Many practices spend a great deal of time developing systems that ultimately do not meet the standard. We pride ourselves on delivering with a difference through the collective learning we have gained.

We offer simple and practical solutions that can save you time and allow you to focus on and create new opportunities.

We do the hard work to make your job easier.

When you work with us, our expert will deliver the highest level of support that focuses on the most effective way to build your systems once and for all.

Inspections can be stressful, but with the right preparation, we ensure there are no unintended consequences. At MATAR, we tailor our support to the way you work, helping you feel confident and prepared.

  • Analysis of current systems to identify issues and provide practical solutions.

  • Clear and ethical guidance to demonstrate best practice.

  • A focus on achieving excellent ratings and building a strong reputation.

CQC Mock Inspections

A mock CQC inspection is a thorough review of your organisation, mimicking CQC's Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE) and inspection methodology.

  • Identify potential risks ahead of the real inspection.

  • Gain expert advice on how to improve systems and processes.

  • Prepare your team for better outcomes.

A poor rating can affect morale, productivity and even financial viability. With MATAR's help, you can ensure your practice is fully prepared for a successful inspection.

CQC Post Inspection/ Turn Around Team

Receiving a 'Requires Improvement' or 'Inadequate' rating can be challenging and demoralising. MATAR can help you turn things around.

  • Address areas of concern and achieve a Good or Outstanding rating.

  • Maximise your practice's potential with expert guidance.

  • Support from first call to full compliance.

Do not let an inspection determine the future of your practice - take action today.

What our clients say

5/5

I can’t recommend Matar enough! As a small GP practice, navigating the complexities of CQC compliance is a daunting task. However, with the expert guidance and support provided by Krishan, we were able to streamline the process and achieve full compliance with confidence. Krishan took the time to understand our specific needs and tailored the services to ensure we met all the necessary requirements. His professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail were invaluable, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was in place. Thanks to Krishan we feel much more well equipped to continue delivering the best care to our patients. A fantastic partner in healthcare compliance.

“CQC is always changing what it wants from practices. The regulations tighten in some areas and loosen in others, and it is difficult to keep up with it all on their website. What we found exceptionally helpful was that the expert was on the ball and knew all of the regulations. We prefer to have a detailed pre-inspection visit by an expert who is able to focus on our areas of development, than wait for inspection day to find out.We look forward to the expert coming back and re-visiting us soon, so we can have an objective way of staying on top form!”

“The expert helped us with preparing for our CQC visit. He helped us over a span of several weeks and was very professional and forthcoming with advice. He identified problems that we had not realised were there and showed us how to tackle them.He was consistent and motivating and didn’t hold back telling us when he felt progress was not happening as it should be.  He set us weekly tasks and goals which we were to achieve by his next visit. With the expert’s help, we achieved a ‘Good’ rating with an area of Outstanding practice, where previously it had been ‘Requires Improvement’.”

"The expert/Krishan came to our Practice with the impossible task of preparing us for a CQC visit within a week.  His approach was methodical and very focused on the important things.  He brought the team together and everyone had a clear idea of their roles and responsibilities.  By the end of the week he helped us to produce a folder for a full visit.  This meant that on the day, all members of the team were able to answer the questions in their area of expertise.  We passed the visit with greens across all domains.I would have no hesitation in recommending Matar to other practices who wish to learn the art of passing CQC."

I would like to express my appreciation for Krishan, who provided our site with expert CQC preparedness training. Despite our best efforts, we had received two consecutive 'requires improvement' ratings from CQC. What stood out about Krishan's approach was his ability to engage our entire practice team, ensuring that each member took ownership of a specific area. While we were proficient at initiating changes, Krishan's guidance helped us identify the bottlenecks that had been hindering us from implementing and sustaining these changes effectively. The insights provided throughout the process were truly invaluable, leaving us much better prepared for an impending follow-up inspection. Krishan's expertise and collaborative approach made a significant difference in our preparedness for CQC assessments. We are grateful for his contribution to our ongoing improvement efforts.

We were having difficulties with CQC inspection rating, requiring need for improvement. MATAR was very helpful in analysis of our issues and coming up with a comprehensive programme to rectify issues. Dr.Krishan Aggarwal has had wide experience with CQC inspections and had an excellent insight of the CQC requirements and expectations. We were guided in improving our policies, highlighting evidence of good work, improving system of working and monitoring progress. Although we were initially apprehensive about having an external consultant come in to review things we found the whole process extremely valuable and we were grateful for the input. It was really helpful having a fresh pair of experienced eyes look at things and give feedback on what we can improve on. It also helped when reassurance was provided about current systems and processes that were working well. We were grateful for MATAR's input and thank Krishan for his input, approachability and feedback.

"We took on the services of Matar to look into our practice functioning after having had an Inadequate inspection report on two areas, Safe and Well led.  The practice felt that it had done what was expected, but during the inspection areas where improvement was required came to light. We accepted the need to make changes to improve the way we ensure the safety of our patients and staff and also to ensure strong leadership within the team.We recognised the need for an outside evaluation on our protocols and procedures.  The practice was not seeking merely to achieve a good standing with the CQC, we wanted to improve to ensure that there were robust systems in place for patient safety and that all involved in the team had accountability. We approached Matar, who looked at the two core areas where an inadequate rating was given (Safe and Well Led). Using methodical, practical procedures and tools, we were taken through all the requirements in these domains and notes were made on how our systems needed updating or changing. We had two very intense days of working through these changes with the full support of Matar’s expert.  The expert was on hand to provide guidance and relevant explanation for the changes that were needed. All the changes that were made were checked by the expert with the relevant staff member, all the while fostering a sense of responsibility in the team members for the tasks they were completing. We have continued to implement the systems put in place as a result of the consultation with Matar. We have since had an inspection as a follow-up due to the inadequate rating we were given.  The CQC inspector was very happy with the positive change the practice had made and felt all the necessary changes (immediate and long term) had been implemented very swiftly. We will continue to use the services for Matar Ltd, for the continuous improvement of our services. We would highly recommend the company."

Our approach builds effective systems that work the first time, so you can focus on creating opportunities rather than repeating the same challenges.
